Masaya

Your body and mine,

With no gap in between

Swaying to an unknown beat

Humming in content

Feeling the pulse

“I’m masaya” he said,

I nodded

In the hope that we felt the same.

An unknown land

A different language

With wind in my hair

And sand in my feet

“I’m happy too”

His lips descended to mine

Even with the different words

The feelings expressed

Will always be one.
